Applications and research preference forms will reopen Week 1 of Fall Quarter

Our goal is to review post-operative reports from patients having undergone spinal surgery. Through this process, committee members will familiarize themselves with medical terminology and understand surgical outcomes and recovery patterns. This information will be used to develop research papers that may contribute to future research and presentations.

The focus of this committee is the influence of the immune system on stroke recovery, with a focus on astrocytes, natural killer cells, and other immune processes that shape outcomes. Members will analyze patient datasets and develop predictive models to test the use of immune markers in forecasting recovery.

The goal of this committee is to learn about the effects of Ketamine as a powerful anesthetic agent and its therapeutic role in pain and comfort care. Members will work directly with INI's collaborators Dr. Houman & his team at Mystic Health to support their explorations in distinct treatment protocols.

The committee is focused on reviewing Apex Medical Exosome products and their success at providing anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, angiogenic, and restorative healing benefits for regenerative and aesthetic purposes. This will be done through the analysis of patient data and direct collaboration with the INI parent company to develop a study.

past projects

Research Committee led by Yiyi Chen exploring the intertwined relationship between the gut and the nervous system. Committee members investigated links between gut health and Alzheimer's Disease,  Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodegenerative disorders. 

Research Committee led by ______ investigated various questions in neurosurgery and utilized patient data to develop correlational findings. 

The committee compiled studies on the effects of bilateral rTMS on anxiety and depression symptoms and identified quantification strategies for these studies. 

Research Committee led by Raghu Padamanabhuni investigated various questions involving sleep and the nervous system including contributing factors to insomnia, anxiety and sleep disorders, etc.
